Correction: You deny your beliefs constitute a religious worldview. Your views on science appear to be predicated on a realist/physicalist belief system that does not hold up to logical scrutiny. That the contents of experience must correspond to external objects is definitively unknowable. It survives merely as a culturally persistent belief, based on absolute faith in its truth, regardless of the absence of reason and evidence. To the literalist mind it appears self-evident that realism/physicalism is true — which represents the lack of both critical thinking and imagination in modernist dogmas.
