They do not embrace socialism (state ownership of industry) — they embrace fascism (private ownership of industry with the state’s regulation and partial profit redistribution). They love policing everything (cancel culture, clapback, tone policing). They call it democratic socialism, because that sounds nice, but they’re really just fascists with an alleged 'kinder gentler machine gun hand’.
